Denise Wallace, Aleutian (Chugash), along with her husband Samuel Wallace and children Dawn and David Wallace, are recognized as premier Native American artists. They extend the Northwest Coast tradition of transformation to modern times, referencing tribal traditions and folklore.
Their works are offered for sale in a limited quantity and are very complex in design as well as in technical use of materials.
Denise's jewelry is rarely offered on the secondary market. We are very fortunate to have acquired two of her works, made in the late 1980s. Both are beautiful and in amazing condition.
Please note that the brooch/pendant has movable arms (hinged) and the child is removable, hanging securely on a hook. This work is part of Denise's Dollmaker series from the 1980s.
