This Zuni jar has frogs, dragonflies and tadpole designs and is attributed to Catalina Zunie (1862-1949). She was a very important potter at Zuni Pueblo, teaching pottery-making to Zuni children at a time when the skill was dying out, and she is recognized as having been a master potter during 1920-1930s. This jar is considered to be one of the finest pots that she made.
