This eyedazzler blanket has an amazing rhythm and aesthetic when viewed in person. It is one of the most beautiful of this type
of eyedazzler that we have seen.
Please note the influence from Navajo Classic serapes with the design field of a central band across the middle (or down the back if the blanket is worn), flanked by a large design field on either side. The other elements in this blanket are also elements that are frequently seen in Classic and Late Classic Navajo blankets.
Please also note the single white band forming a border at the top and bottom of the blanket. This is an indication, as well as the wool itself, of the blanket having been woven in the late 19th century.
