Robert Tenorio has long been recognized as one of the premier Pueblo artists. This jar represents the best of his work. The design is inspired by earlier Aguilar sisters (and sister-in-law) pottery but the it also clearly reflects Tenorio’s innovations. The shape of the jar, while traditional, is a bit truncated in the neck which gives the jar a very sculptural form. The paint is clear and precise and the design enhances the shape of the jar.

This jar by Robert Tenorio is a true work of beauty.
