Rondina Huma was born in Keams Canyon and she has lived in Polacca since childhood. She learned pottery making as a child. She has long been recognized for her skill in pottery making as well as her artistry. Her designs reflect designs on shards and on Historic Hopi pots.

Rondina makes pottery in the traditional manner, using natural clay and slip, coiling, smoothing the clay, applying the slip and then polishing the pot with a stone. She paints the designs using native slips and beeweed. She fires her pots over an open fire, as is traditional.
