sinew and thread sewn

Blanket strips such as this were made to be worn across the back of a piece of clothing or a blanket or robe. The combination of sinew and thread clearly indicate that this strip was made during the transitional years after the Indians were forced to live on reservations, no longer able to follow the buffalo.
