This Navajo bracelet exudes quality. It was made using the sandcast technique in which the silver is heated to a molten state and then poured into a mold of 2 matching carved pieces of sandstone, tufa or wood. Afterward, the resulting form is shaped into a bracelet and the burrs on the edges are filed out. This is a very difficult technique and it is very time-consuming.
