Effie Garcia is well known, along with her husband Orville, for fine pottery making. Effie usually makes the pottery and Orville usually carves the designs. This pot only has Effie’s signature so we are not sure which one of them did the carving of the design. Effie usually sands the edges and they both fire the pots. They have won numerous awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market since 1983.
